Tricia Llewellyn Konan
Tricia Llewellyn Konan is the Vice President of Mission Services for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers (GoodwillSR).
Tricia joined the organization in April 2014 after successfully working in the private, public and educational sectors. She is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality mission services, including financial and career services and skills training through the use of intensive programs in GoodwillSR’s training and career centers.
Her formal education includes a Bachelor’s in Communications from Lehman College and a Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University.
She began her professional career with Chrysler Corporation. After nine years in the Sales and Marketing Division, she joined the External Affairs Division as a State Relations Manager. In this role, she engaged state and local agencies in economic and workforce development activities.
This private sector experience was leveraged when she served as the Director for the Michigan Department of Labor’s Meeting Employer Needs Division. Tricia led the development and execution of statewide employer-driven workforce strategies and economic development incentives. These strategies included building collaborative partnerships and programs to assist employers with various aspects of workforce support, including worker recruitment, screening, training and retention activities. Her responsibilities also included management of the state’s rapid response activities, labor exchange, fidelity bonding programs and National Career Readiness certificate.
In 2010, Tricia joined Henry Ford Community College as Director of Workforce and Professional Development. She continued her work with state and local stakeholders to design, develop and deliver innovative training and education programs to meet the demands of employers. In addition, she served on the board of the National Council of Workforce Education, Greening of Detroit, Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern MI and Leadership Oakland. Tricia enjoys traveling and fishing with her family.
