Terry Reis

Terry Reis, Vice President of Finance and IT for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers (GoodwillSR), joined the organization after a successful career in real estate. After serving in leadership roles for five years as treasurer, audit and board chair for GoodwillSR, he accepted his current team member position in February of 2010.

Reis’ formal education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Valdosta State University.

Prior to joining Goodwill as a member of the senior leadership team, Reis worked as a Commercial Risk Manager with Synovus Financial Corporation where he was responsible for underwriting and reporting for the managed assets group. He began his career with Textron Corporation, a manufacturer of jet engine parts, as a cost accountant and was later promoted to Purchasing Director.

Reis worked for 20 years in real estate management and development where he was a controller with Dewar Properties in Valdosta, Ga. Dewar Properties managed over 3,000 conventional and subsidized housing units in multiple states as well as developed multi family housing thru the tax credit initiative. Reis’ responsibilities included financial investor and government reporting, as well as compliance and analysis. In addition, he also served on the board of Habitat for Humanity and the TKE Board of Trustees.

In 1998, he relocated to Columbus, Ga as a controller for Wynnton Group, a real estate development and management company. He was responsible for reporting requirements to institutional and other investors as well as consolidated financial reporting for the company. From 2002 until 2008, Reis partnered with a homebuilder/developer to build subdivisions, apartments and custom homes in the Muscogee, Harris and Glynn county regions of Georgia.

Reis enjoys family time with his wife, Lynn, and their daughter, Annslee.
